巫女舞～日本の文化に触れる～ Challenging the miko (shrine maiden) dance

2023年10月15日に行われた、今福神社例大祭。
そこで初めて巫女舞に挑戦する人たちの姿を追いました。
今回おくんちで巫女舞を披露したのは今福中学校の生徒と、普段はALTとして英語を教える海外出身の先生たち。
巫女舞ならではの動きや衣裳の着方など。

The Imafuku Shrine annual festival was held on October 15, 2023.
We caught up with some of the people who tried their hand at miko dancing for the first time at the festival.
The performers of the miko dance at Okunchi this time were students from Imafuku Junior High School and teachers from overseas who usually teach English as ALTs.
The students were challenged from the very beginning with the unique movements and costumes of the miko dance.
